pyrophyllite
Detailed sheet
pyrophyllite
Uncommon mineral, present in hydrothermal veins.
Its name comes from the Greek “pyros” for fire and “phyllos” as sheet, because with the heat this mineral is exfoliating, and swells in superposed sheets.
